Energy follows intent, but energy doesn’t match intent.

Here’s a video of a woman learning to dance in a year:

I can watch that video and follow her movements. I can mimic them, poorly. But that doesn’t mean I’m dancing, not like her.

I can follow the video, but I can’t match it.

How did she learn? “Here’s my secret: I practiced everywhere. At bus stops. In line at the grocery store. At work — using the mouse with my right hand and practicing drills with my left hand. You don’t have to train hardcore for years to become a dancer. But you must be willing to practice and you better be hungry.”

That is, she broke the movements down into drills, first did the movements consciously and slowly, and over time and repetition the movements became unconscious and automatic, until she could combine them with other movements in a dance.

You can’t intend to dance. You can intend to move your hand in a particular way, and practice that until it’s automatic, then add another layer, and another. Over time and repetition, that builds to dancing. But intent alone doesn’t get you very far.

Same with energy. Energy follows intent, but it doesn’t match it.

The key is to practice each technique, not just intend the end result.

Join me live every Sunday

Every Sunday at 11am Pacific, I geek out about energy on my live stream, Ask an Energy Scientist.

This weekend, I’ll talk about how energy follows intent, but doesn’t match it. Bring your questions, or just drop in and listen.

Just join my Facebook group, Energy Healing Lab, and you’ll get a notification when it starts.

Looking forward to talking with you!
